A good centre for visiting Chester Zoo and Wales.

It was lovely for each of us to have our own en suite, and the bed in the twin room was one of the most comfortable I've slept in for a long time. We didn't do any cooking during our stay but the kitchen seems well-equipped and the living area is very comfortably furnished. We didn't make much use of the private courtyard as the weather wasn't really good enough - but I imagine it would be very nice to sit outside with a coffee first thing in the morning or to eat lunch outside in warmer weather. The cottage feels welcoming and even in bad weather it was cosy enough without having to light the log burner, so I would be happy to consider a winter break there. The location is great - plenty of walking on the doorstep and easy access to Oswestry and Shrewsbury. The shop and pub in the village are both a short walk away and the food and service at the pub are both very good. We both enjoyed our stay and I would happily recommend Top Farm Lodge.

Everything was there that we needed and it was all really clean. The beds were so comfy. We enjoyed using the paddock, my dog had so much room to play. Bob and Margaret were so lovely and friendly. Would love to come back another time.
