The property is consistently described as very clean, with multiple reviews highlighting its tidiness. One isolated incident of a fly infestation was mentioned, but it appears to be an exception rather than the norm.

The location is appreciated for its peacefulness and proximity to local villages, although some guests found it challenging to find and noted the narrow access lanes. The rural setting is a highlight for those seeking tranquillity.

Guests found the bedrooms cool and comfortable, and the property spacious. Some guests mentioned the sofas were not very comfortable, and there was a preference for separate beds for children.

The facilities, including the kitchen and hot tub, are well-regarded. There were minor issues with a missing TV remote and occasional poor internet strength, but overall, the amenities contributed positively to the guests' experiences.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcome gifts such as milk, butter, and apple juice. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

The house and grounds were perfect. The small ménage of animals were great, I got to cuddle one of the super funny and chatty chickens. The hot tub was super relaxing. Julia and Paul were amazing hosts. When they found out it was my birthday they gave me a lovely bottle of Prosecco. Hope to be back soon.

We were lucky enough to have lovely weather so made use of the hot tub which is heated and ready use at any time. The outside areas have all you need for a relaxing stay including table chairs parasols recliners and gas BBQ. The owners left us some goodies in the fridge including cheese and fresh apple juice. It was lovely to look out on the fields and see the cows chickens and pheasants. Totally recommend this holiday home.

Nice touch was the milk, butter, cheese, biscuits and locally made apple juice left in the kitchen Lovely comfy beds and pitch black rooms at night which we like. Absolutely loved our stay all you can hear is birds in the trees, the stream and the owners Paul and Julia’s chickens, absolute bliss. Its location is great 15 minutes drive to bideford or Westwood Ho. Paul and Julia are fantastic hosts nothing was to much trouble. 100% we will be returning here.
